Director of Writing Across the Curriculum

Contact Me

At LIU Brooklyn, I direct the Writing Across the Curriculum program and specialize in working with faculty in many departments on how to integrate writing into their curricula. I regularly teach courses in composition and literature to undergraduates. I am interested in all types of collaborative teaching and in learning communities.

Visiting the archives and analyzing primary documents was an incredibly rich experience for my students. The architecture of the building transported them “to the past” more vividly than any textbook. Examining slave bills of sale dramatized for my students a time in which fundamental assumptions about equality were completely different.
